Meet Harrison — Your Piano Teacher

Meet Luciano — Your Piano Teacher
Luciano is an experienced pianist and dedicated piano teacher who has performed around the world. He is passionate about inspiring students to connect with music that resonates with them, whether that be classical, pop, jazz, tango, or contemporary styles.
Luciano helps students develop a deep understanding of the elements that bring music to life beyond simply reading notes, including rhythm, pitch, expression, and musicality. He believes learning piano should be both enjoyable and meaningful, tailored to each student’s interests and goals. Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic, Luciano’s greatest strength lies in building strong, lasting relationships with his students and creating a supportive learning environment.
Born and raised in Argentina, Luciano developed a passion for piano and classical music from an early age. After graduating from high school, he pursued professional studies at Instituto Superior Santa Ana under the guidance of Maestro Eduardo Paez, where he focused on classical piano and music education.
He later continued his studies at the National Conservatory “Manuel de Falla” with Maestro Nicolas Ledesma, where he chose to specialise in Argentina’s traditional music, particularly tango and folklore.
Throughout his career, Luciano has performed at a wide variety of venues across Buenos Aires and internationally throughout Europe, Australasia, and the United States. He also spent over four years working as a musician and musical director aboard Royal Caribbean International cruise ships, further broadening his performance experience and musical versatility.
Luciano teaches on Monday mornings and Fridays.
Meet Liz — Your Piano Teacher
Liz has been teaching piano since 2013 and has conducted both private and small group music lessons. She sees it as a privilege to guide young learners along their musical journey, and believes that music education should be fun, engaging, and accessible to all.
Her teaching philosophy emphasizes a holistic approach to music learning—one that includes singing, full-body movement, and instrumental play. Liz believes children learn best when they engage their kinesthetic, aural, and visual senses. To support this, she has completed certified training in both the Orff Schulwerk and Dalcroze methods, which advocate for music to be experienced through the whole body, not just the fingers and brain.
In her lessons, Liz incorporates a variety of 'off-bench' activities such as singing, moving to music, clapping rhythms, and playing percussive instruments to create a rich, multi-sensory learning experience.
While Liz enjoys listening to a wide range of musical styles, she has a special fondness for the romantic works of Hungarian composer Franz Liszt.
Outside of teaching, Liz enjoys spending time in nature and often goes bushwalking with her family.
She teaches at the studio on Saturdays.
